JK Panch Foran Whole is always used whole and never ground. Traditionally, JK Panch Foran is being used since ages in vegetables, curry, lentils, shukto, pickles and in many other cuisines. Panch phoran or Indian five spices originated in Eastern India, mainly in Bengal, Bihar, and the Northeast Indian region. As the name suggests Panch Phoran, is a blend of five different spices namely fenugreek seeds (methi seeds), nigella seeds (kalaunji), cumin seeds (jeera), radhuni (brown/black mustard seeds), and fennel seeds (saunf). Each of the spice present in Panch Phoran adds its taste to the exotic mix. Fenugreek seeds add a bitter flavour and due to this property, some cooks use fenugreek seeds in small quantities.
